Autumn Splendor
Last Monday got started with more planning along with Shannon Vairo for our upcoming networking event. If I haven't already talked to you or been in touch by email, I would like to invite remote workers (and your partner/guest) to attend the career and social networking event on Wednesday, October 12th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rozsa! This will be an outstanding opportunity to network with other remote workers here in the Keweenaw as well as to impart your wisdom about working remotely to MTU seniors interested in the possibility of remote work from the Keweenaw as part of their future career plans! This will also be an excellent opportunity to meet local employers seeking talent as well as a way to learn about organizations you may want to become involved with but may not yet be aware of!
The weather was excellent on Monday afternoon, so Julie and I got out for a North Country Trail hike at Canyon Falls. The fall color at that elevation was really starting to pop!
You can check out my GoPro video from this hike on the Remote Workforce Keweenaw YouTube channel at this link:
On Tuesday it seemed like a switch had been flipped with the fall color. There was a sudden increase in the richness and vibrance in both the red and the orange leaves. We went for a walk at the Nara Nature Park and into the MTU Trails to immerse ourselves in the autumn splendor.
Do you embrace winter and have the ability to work remotely? Would you value living in a place with ubiquitous natural beauty that has NO congestion and lower crime? Consider locating in the Keweenaw where you will be surrounded by amazing places!
